Hi, I’m
Jonathan Boyd
Let me ask you a question…
Would you like to be able to:
Solo and improvise anywhere on the fretboard in any key?
Play by ear, jam with other musicians on the spot, and write songs?
Understand exactly how music works, once and for all?
Impress people you play for, even yourself?

It’s not like there aren’t enough “resources” out there,
Books, YouTube videos, DVDs, lessons – it’s endless…
So why are you still not where you want to be?

The truth is, it’s not your fault…
And that’s why I wanted to reveal the “whole story”…

I Started off just like you…
Learning bits and pieces of my favorite songs. But soon, I found myself getting sick and tired of playing the same old things every time I picked up the guitar.
So I bought tons books (dust collectors) and took lesson after lesson. But even several teachers later, I still felt like something was missing. I had plenty of “gold nuggets”, but I couldn’t put the pieces together.
So I became obsessed with finding the answer.

Over time, I developed a “formula”
…A system, a road map that explains how “everything” in music is connected together.
I built a private guitar school where I’ve helped students (from Broadway performers, pianists, saxophonists, and even guitarists with over 55 years of experience) understand and play guitar in ways they never dreamed of.
I’ve learned the mistakes to avoid. By following my systems, many students have progressed further in one year than I did in nearly 20 years of playing guitar.
I’m thankful I’ve been able to reach the skill level I have, but nothing compares to seeing a student’s face light up with joy as they experience a “light bulb moment” and their life is changed forever.
Now, through Breakthrough Guitar, I’m on a mission to share every ounce of what I’ve learned with you so you can solo and improvise all over the fretboard, jam with other musicians at any time, understand how music works, and play guitar the way you always wanted faster than you ever believed was possible.

His teaching style is truly unique from what I’ve encountered, and it has helped me progress a lot faster than I ever thought I would. I would wholeheartedly recommend learning from Jonathan.

Jonathan is a great guitar teacher. He wants to see his students succeed at playing their guitar. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go to him.

It was more or less a revelation from my past experience – it is a completely different approach! You will learn faster with Jonathan than with any other style of guitar lessons.

A Different Approach to Guitar…
Most people think “guitar is hard”. I did too. Fortunately, that’s not true.
There’s a system, a formula to it all, and it’s not complicated. However, with the mountain of confusing, conflicting information out there, it certainly seems complicated.
Think about that first sentence. Most people think guitar is hard… so it is.
You see, with most videos, lessons, etc., whether you’re learning a song or a riff, that’s the end goal – to learn that song or riff. Once you learn it, it’s fun for a while, then you move on to learn the next song, riff, etc.
The problem is that by learning what’s already been created, you’re NOT learning how to create.
The secret is to know where the songs and riffs come from. Without knowing this, it’s hard to be creative on your guitar, and that is frustrating!
Imagine putting together a 500-piece picture puzzle. BUT – you can’t look at the box. How long would you work on the puzzle if you had no clue what it was supposed to look like? You’d probably get frustrated pretty quickly. Why? Because you can’t see how the pieces fit into “the big picture”.
Bits and pieces of songs are like puzzle pieces. No matter how many pieces you learn, you’ll never see the whole picture.
When you put together a picture puzzle, don’t you always start with the big picture?
The truth is, you need a blueprint, a template to follow to fit all the pieces together. Only then can you use them to be creative.
That system is what you’re getting with Breakthrough Guitar.

What Students Are Saying…

Knowing how keys were constructed and how cookie cutter it is is amazing! And being able to transfer open chords to bar chords is crazy good. Now I feel like I can play guitar!

The only regret that you’ll have is that you didn’t start learning from Jonathan sooner. I have progressed faster than I could have imagined. I’m sure you will, too.
